Imagining the Future: The Role of Our National Labs in Realizing a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Energy Future
This invitation-only workshop is designed to explore ideas and strategies to significantly enhance the ability of the National Labs to effectively engage with both private and public sector partners in realizing a sustainable, resilient, and equitable energy future. The workshop blends keynote and panel discussions with unconference elements to ensure full and active engagement from all participants.
Overview
On July 31, 2024, the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the OLN will convene visionaries and thought leaders at a one-day workshop at Stanford University to explore, define, and advance the role the of National Labs in supporting the transition to a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable global energy future.

Workshop Themes
Through panels, keynote presentations, and “unconference” sessions, participants will explore key themes relevant to enhancing the ability of the National Labs to support the global energy transition. For each of these themes, collaborations and partnerships between the National Labs and public and private sector partners are essential for leveraging the full spectrum of resources, expertise, and innovation potential needed to accelerate the energy transition.
